Most important, though, is to apply a thin coat. The directions tell you to apply the wax to the whole car and then wipe the wax off with either a microfiber or cotton terry cloth. A fine wax. This wax performs differently than traditional natural waxes, and too much wax on the car creates excess work. I first tried it with terry cloth, and it was okay, but I'm going out today to buy a microfiber cloth for it. Be sure to let it dry as directed. Apply it more thinly than you think, and you'll have a much easier time taking it off and buffing. A great product.
Easy on Easy off. Put it on my car two weeks ago and it looks like it was done yesterday.
I am a car enthusiast therefore over the years I have used most automotive car polishes. Additionally it seems to stand up well to repeated washings. Most don't live up to their advertising hype. I was pleasantly surprised how easy Meguiar's NXT Generation went on and came off. Give it a try. Oh, it leaves a really deep luster:)
All of them with excellent results over similar products.Forward to 2008. The previous version had a serious problem: the tire protectant (http://www.sparkleauto.com/images/meguiars/MGU_G-12924_LG.jpg) and the spray booster wax bottle's (http://www.sparkleauto.com/images/meguiars/MGU_G-12824_LG.jpg) were 95% identical. I applied then on a 2003 white Kia Sorento, 2006 charcoal gray Sienna and a 1999 Montero Sport. If you want longevity you have to look into 4 coats of Collinite 476s or something similar.
You will see the difference. If you try it and it don't like it, so be it. I made the mistake a couple of times of apllying the wrong product. Same font indicating the product's name. The first thing I love about 2.0 is the bottle.
than v 1.0. I have pampered the minivan since day one so the NXT goes on and off amazingly easy. Also, the wax seems to be creamier (heavier.). I almost divorced from Meguiar's but I am glad I didn't go it. The NXT Insane Shine vinyl protectant's bottle is clear, YEAH.
I now use 2.0 on my 2008 Oddyssey with the same great results. I have been using NXT since it came out several years ago. Like other mentiones surface preparation is CRITICAL. Please clay and polish if the surfaces feel/look rough.
Some people on the Meguiar's forum report that swirls are no longer visible after claying and applying the 2.0. I Like many thing in life this product is not perfect for everyone. THAT is longevity.
Same purple bottle, same green trigger, almost the same reb/black car on the front and the same logo. I leave the Collinite for the winter. No more mistakes.
I do beleive that it has a deeper, richer look than my 2006 Sienna (also charcoal gray). Keep in mind that longevity is NOT a strong point for this product. During spring and summer I prefer the deep, rich look over longevity so I am very happy.
However, the results were obvious. I love taking care of my vehicles. However, Meguiar's keeps winning me back with their incredible offerings. I didn't want to like this wax/sealant as much as ones I paid thirty, forty, or fifty dollars to buy. The results are truly remarkable. To maintain your shine, remove loose dirt and contaminants with Quick Exterior Detailer, or Ultimate Exterior Detailer. They are of high quality, effective, easy to find, and affordable.
For optimum results I strongly encourage you before apply NXT 2.0, clay your car, clean with a paint cleaner (i.e. I have used many expensive, imported products over the years. On my vehicles, this is the best wax/sealant I have ever used. However, take the affordable off. I'd use their products, if they were 3x the price because I've used products that cost that much and are less effective.Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 highlights that experience. Scratch X or Deep Crystal Step 1), polish with a pure polish (Deep Crystal Step 2 or #7 Show Car Polish), and then apply this wax.
Meguiar's keeps delivering the good stuff, and I'm a fan.
